Proton Satria Neo CPS
February 16th, 2009 bdfabregasFor this entry, I want to introduce all of this blog’s readers about a car that manufactured in my country, Malaysia. The largest car manufacturer in Malaysia is Proton. So, I want to introduce the world with the Proton Satria Neo CPS. Before, the Satria Neo using the Campro engine but now, with the addition of CPS that will enhance the variable valve lift system as well as the variable intake manifold, the performance of the Satria Neo CPS will be boosted.
The Proton Satria Neo CPS using the 1.6L Campro CPS 4 cylinder engine assisting with the DOHC, 16 valves. This upgrading engine boost about 125 hp @ 6500 RPM with torque 150 N.m @ 4500 RPM. This car can be found in two variants transmission, 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission that will help transferred the power to the wheels.
On the road, I like to review the maximum performance for the 5-speed manual transmission variant. The top speed of the Satria Neo CPS had been recorded at 118 mph (190 kph) with the acceleration 0-100 kph in 10.5 seconds.
For the comfort of the driver and the passengers, the McPherson Strut with the stabilizer bar had been used as the front suspension system. At the rear suspension, the multi link suspension with stabilizer bar had been used. Also, to give maximum satisfaction for the driver, the hydraulic power steering had been installed in this car. Let’s look at how the Malaysian’s car look.
