Proton Exora Is Now Available
Finally, the time has come. The Malaysia’s first MPV had been launched yesterday. Even though this post is too little too late, but who cares. This Proton Exora will be the benchmark for the auto manufacturers in Malaysia to design another good and cheap car. Yesterday was the history for Malaysia auto industry and we hope for the years to come, the auto manufacturers in Malaysia can produce a supercars like the Ferrari or Lamborghini. Who knows, right?
Like the rumors that was spreading before, the Proton Exora using the 1.6L engine Campro CPS 4 cylinders engine assisting with the DOHC, 16 valves valvetrain. This engine produce the maximum power of 93 kW (125 hp) @ 6500 RPM and maximum torque of 150 N.m @ 4500 RPM. The top speed of the Proton Exora is 165 kph and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 15.5 seconds.
The Proton Exora focusing on the family car, so the comfort of the passenger is the main target. The suspension system using for the Proton Exora also fill that target. The McPherson strut has been using for the front suspension and the torsion beam has been used for the rear suspension. The usage of the McPherson strut suspension also can reduce the prices of the Proton Exora due to cheap suspension system. The hydraulic power steering has been used to make the handling of the car easier.
The safety system of the Proton Exora also cannot be underestimated. The dual airbags with the pre-tensioner seat belt has been installed in Proton Exora to reduce the possibility of serious injury in the crash or hard braking situation. The anti-lock braking system with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) has been installed to ensure the braking system can be properly function when comes to avoiding something. Also, the modern-car features like the central door lock, alarm system and reverse sensor has been added in this Proton Exora.

Very nice car, i’ve test before, hope Proton will be produce 1.8cc and 2.0cc variants soon with more specification to compete with another rivals esp. Toyota Wish, Estima, Freed, Alphard, Noah,Innova,Avanza, Mitshubishi Grandis, Nissan Serena, Grand Livina, Honda Oddysey, Elgrad…

Hi . I would like to give just one comment about this first national MPV. First of all. Cangratulation and I am very proud of my country about this product.
I am little bit worry about fuel consumtion as because the CC is 1.6 (Small) for the MPV.
Or else can you guy product more big cc like 2.0 or 2.5. it will not pushing the engine to move.

jangan la terlalu kritik sangat. Exora adalah model terbaik keluaran proton dan 100% air tangan para genius malaysia. kalau kita tak sokong, macam mana la proton nak maju.
Ini ingatan kepada yang nak exora cc besar tapi nak harga murah PEGI BERAMBOS LAA!!! Proton dan berjaya keluarkan mpv pun dah lebih daripada cukup kepada rakyat malaysia=)

syukur pada tuhan, akhirnya lahirlah sebuah MPV kebanggaan Malaysia dengan hasil titik peluh local .
Exora lahir disaat gergasi-gergasi permotoran sedang dilanda krisis. Exora adalah adalah sebuah mpv yang memenuhi segala citarasa rakyat Malaysia pada harga yg berpatutan dan mungkin Avanza susah nak jual lepas ni..Dari segi design amat berdaya saing…dan keselesaan pun menandingi kebanyakan MPV lain Malah ada yg lebih.
Dari segi enjin tak perlu bimbang…Proton telah melakukan pelbagai R&D berkaitan hal tersebut,,,,,,
Underpower akan terasa hanya pada Auto…bg manual tak ada masalah….Jurutera proton telah menala enjin tersebut supaya mampu menggerakk Exora dengan baik….
ibarat RX8 hanya 1.3….CPS mmpu mempowerkan Exora tapi bkn untuk racing…

Saya dah pakai 9 tahun wira a/b 1.3 masih utuh dan gagah. Xde masalah enjin… caya proton.
Nak berlumba any time je… itu baru 1.3 cc kalah myvi se dan seangkatan dengannya.

Dah tengok Exora, dan berbaloi kalau membelinya. Sejak Waja semua kereta Proton memang best dibawa (ride and handling). Pintu pun bila tutup bunyi solid ‘thud’ dan bukan ‘clang’ macam kereta jenama lain.

Proton… you must listen to what customer complaint.. I went to Proton showroom at tg. malim and get inside to experience the new exora interior… sadly, arm rest for driver seat too poor quality… for a few day after display, its became loose and look like was used for 2-3 years!!! ask your vendors.. is it worthy to keep them in your list if they are always make your credibility down?

Gua dah test-drive Exora and dah booking pun.
Memang pick-up ada kureng sikit…. tapi driving wise,.. memang best gila punya compared to other proton product.. Pada yang dok kondem keter Proton tu…..what do you aspect…kalau nak memecut….this is not the car,…beli le keter Spot bro…MPV kan is so called Family car,…..so bila driving dengan family, mana ade orang memecut gila punya….unless you dont love your family……… am I right !!!!!!!
