U.S. Tacomas recall for drive shaft tix from Toyota Motor. Therea are about 8,000 model need to fix because a potential defect in front drive shaft. There are a component containing cracks in the joint portion of the drive shaft. It happen because of problem in their manufacturing quality control.

Owner of U.S. Tacomas need to send back their car because the problem potentially will cause dangerous in driving. Toyota make this decision after get many complaint about the shaft problem that may lead to unintended acceleration.

Toyota replace gas pedals

On 25th November, Toyota Motorcorp said it will replace their accelerator pedals for this model :-

Toyota_Mat_09(1)

1. 2007 to 2010 model year Camry
2. 2005 to 2010 Avalon
3. 2004 to 2009 Prius
4. 2005 to 2010 Tacoma
5. 2007 to 2010 Tundra
6. 2007 to 2010 Lexus ES 350
7. 2006 to 2010 Lexus IS 250
8. 2006 to 2010 Lexus IS 350.

They will reconfigure the shape of accelerator pedals to cut down on the risk that they may be jammed in the floor mat. It will replace original equipment floor mats with redesigned mats and will install a brake override system. This program to prevent more accident about car pedals jam.

Toyota FT- EV II

Another latest concept car by Toyota, FT- EV II. This car shown at 2009 Tokyo motor show. This electric car will become another future car. With the flexibility and design this car will boost the market.

According to the auto maker, “The FT-EV II is not simply an electric vehicle designed for a post-fossil fuel era, but is a sustainable concept car that focuses on the relationship between cars, people and society of the future.It can travel around 90km at up to 100km/h. Very effective in the class..
It don’t use steering wheel but controls using joystick similar reminiscent of some aircraft.

Toyota says the FT-EV II assumes that battery technology will advance significantly beyond the current lithium-ion batteries that are finding their way in to electric cars and hybrids and will be used in an electric car to be sold initially in the United States from 2012.

“We are looking ahead of the lithium-ion battery,” said Akihiro Yanaka, Toyota’s project manager for advanced vehicles.

“This vision [the FT-EV II] is a little bit further out in to the future. It assumes more developed forms of batteries, so that’s why it’s more compact and smaller (than other electric cars, including the original FT-EV)”

Toyota will released another sports car that’s based on the Subaru Impreza. The car that has been dubbed the ‘Toyobaru’ has been revealed for the first time.

Toyota FT-86 a compact rear-wheel-drive sports car gives driver greater control, while body’s lightness and low center of gravity. Inspired by the popular AE86 Corolla from the 1980s, and remains a sporty rear-wheel-drive sports coupe and powered by its turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four ripped. They will release this sexy red car at 2009 Tokyo motor show on October 21. Wait and see
