Saleen
This is the monster of the monster. If you think the Lamborghini or Ferrari are really fast enough, think again. This car can smoke any of the popular supercars manufacturers like the Porsche, Lamborghini or Ferrari. Until this article is written, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo still in th fourth fastest car in the world behind the SSC Ultimate Aero, Bugatti Veyron and the Koenigsegg CCX. So, let’s review what makes this monster really scary to other supercars manufacturers.
The Saleen S7 using the 7.0L V8 engine. Like the name of this car, the engine is assisted by the Twin Garret GT35R Turbos and also the pushrod driven, 2 valves per cylinder valvetrain. With the big engine of course it will also produce the big output. The maximum power for the Saleen S7 is 750 bhp @ 6300 RPM and the maximum torque of 700 lbs.ft. Really scary to hear that value of output can really be produced by the engine of a car. This output from the engine is transferred by the 6-speed transaxle transmission to the rear wheel of the Saleen S7.
You had known the power and torque of the car, so let’s look at the performance on the track for this car. The top speed for this car is 248 mph (399.1 kph) and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. So, if you drive a Lamborghini and was smoked by a less popular American supercars, don’t be pumped up because you might just want not to be shamed when lose in a street race with this monster.
Great supercars must have the proper support to the big output of the engine. So, the unequal double wishbone with coil over aluminium dampers and anti roll bars has been installed as the suspension system for both the front and rear suspension. The steering also must be in great condition for proper handling of the driver. A rack and pinion with Power Assist Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 steering has been used for this Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. If you think the Ferrari or Lamborghini is great in shape, look at this monster and think it again.
