2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart

March 14, 2009 :: Posted by - bdfabregas :: Category - Mitsubishi

After reviewing about the Mitsubishi Evolution X for Malaysian police car, I like to introduce another monster from the Mitsubishi. The 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart can be placed between the Mitsubishi Lancer GTS and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X in terms of the performance, features and also the price. So, if you want a car that slightly better than Mitsubishi Lancer GTS but has a price slightly low than the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, this car is your answer.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart using the same engine as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, the 4B11 2.0L four cylinder engine. Although it is the same engine, it using the single scroll turbo rather than twin scroll turbo in Evolution X and also the air to air intercooler is 54 percent smaller than the Evolution X. This modification and tuning had slightly decrease the performance of the engine. The horsepower of the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart is 237 hp @ 6000 RPM and torque of 253 lbs.ft @ 3000 RPM. You can compare it with the output of the Lancer Evolution X by clicking here. This car is driven by the all-wheel drive system and assisting with the 6-speed, twin-clutch Sportronic transmission.

If the power of the engine had been tuned lower, the performance on the track also slightly decrease. The top speed of the Lancer Ralliart is 144 mph (231.7 kph) and this car can accelerate from static to 60 mph in only 5.3 seconds. Wow, the performance look like not drastically reduced by the modification of the engine, right?

For the suspension, the Lancer Ralliart using the McPherson strut for the front suspension and multi-link for the rear suspension. The using of the McPherson strut suspension can lower the price for the car and make it suitable to be the family car. The power rack and pinion had been using as the steering for this car. For the shape, it just look like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Just look at those pictures below.

Yeah, finally i got the information based on Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Actually, last week I visited a showroom in my town and Mitsubishi shows their car and truck including Lancer Evolution X and Triton Lite. But I like to share with you all the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X because I think when the Evo X had been launched, many people quite unsatisfied with the design that totally different from another version of Lancer Evolution. So, let’s check out what inside this Mitsubishi’s monster and is it the performance can really matching the earliest Evo.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X using the 2.0 L I4 engine with DOHC MIVEC VVT valvetrain. The 2.0 L engine produce 295 bhp @ 6500 rpm and torque 311 lbs.ft @ 4400 rpm. The output power of this engine transferred by the 6-speed automated manual or 5-speed manual transmission with the 4-wheel drive configuration.
How about the performance on the road. This Lancer Evo X can move as fast as 155 mph and accelerate 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds. So, who dare to say Evo X given no satisfaction in terms of performance only? Let’s look at the design of Evo X that look different from the earlier version of Lancer Evo.
