Last week, a girl told me that she fall in love with a car in the commercial break. She said that the car is Morris Mini car. After I watched the commercial and doing some research, the car is actually Mini Cooper. It is the latest version of the Mini car from the British Motor Corporation. So, instead of fall in love with the exterior of the car, let’s see how this car also attract the guy.
The Mini Cooper S using the 1.6L in-line 4 cylinder engine that mounted in the front of the car with transverse position. This engine was assisted by DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder, direct fuel injection and a turbocharged. This engine can boost 172 bhp @ 5500 RPM and torque 177 lbs.ft @ 1600 RPM. The power of the engine transferred by using 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Let’s see how this car performs on the road.
The top speed of Mini Cooper S is 139.8 mph (225 kph). Not bad for a 1.6L car but the top speed of the car increase mostly of the assisted of the turbocharged aspiration of the engine.
