Proton concept car revealed

I’ve read at paultan that Proton Concept will unveiling at Geneva Motorshow in Switzerland. That’s a good news for Proton lovers. Collaboration with Lotus, Proton concept will design in a hybrid platform .This four-seater hatchback concept was co-designed with Italdesign Giugiaro. The hybrid drive system ncludes an internal combustion engine which is fitted on the front axle. The engine will recharge the lithium ion battery pack to provide a pure electric drive with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder power. The energy will sends electrical power to the drive motors and on to a single speed transmission. The car will allow driver to get electricity easily and plugged in to any AC main.Lotus has also made the drivetrain including a single-speed transmission and low emissions, optimised performance

This is such a good achievement for Proton. After produce great consumer car, concept car will give more attention from the world. I hope it will success and show the new hybrid concept system.

Lotus return to F1

Lotus, one of former successful icon in Formula 1 will return with Lotus T127. The team is backed by the Malaysian government and Malaysian automaker Proton . Lotus has been absent from F1 since 1994 and the team only registered for this F1 season last September. Their history in F1 is magnificent, winning a series a series of six drivers’ titles and seven constructors’ championships through the 1960s and ‘70 but collapsed with financial problems in 1994. Their driver is Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen and Mohd Fairuz Fauzy (reserve driver) which is very experience in the F1.

The car has been designed from former Toyota team who quit F1 at the end of last season. The T127, will feature at Silverstone on Tuesday alongside other teams at next week’s test at Jerez in Spain.
The boss of Lotus team, Tony Fernandes, has set the team the realistic goal of finishing every race this season. Let’s see if they can reach their goals for the first season.

Lotus Evora Type 124

The Lotus Evora is a sports car to be produced by British car manufacturer Lotus. Lotus has came out with this Lotus Evora Type 124 for the ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race.

One of the best known of Lotus Evora is type is 124. It has a race-tuned version of the mid-mounted Toyota V6 engine and has a race-tuned version of the mid-mounted Toyota V6 engine, with power increased to over 400 ps. It converted from four seats to one is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg for the GT3-spec racer.

Lotus return to F1

For F1 fans, next year 2010 Lotus will return to participate in F1 competition.the FIA, yesterday granted Lotus the 13th slot on next season’s grid in place of BMW Sauber. The German manufacturer withdrew for financial reasons but the team has been bought by the Qadbak Investments group and could still be handed a spot if the grid is expanded to 14 teams. Lotus will replace the BMW-Sauber team on the grid next season. BMW announced its withdrawl from the series at the end of this year and seeing as the team had not signed on to the new Concorde Agreement, FIA began accepting bids for the vacant 13th spot on the grid.
The Lotus F1 team will be initially based in Norfolk, England, very near to the original Lotus Cars factory. However, the future design and manufacturing centre will be based at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit.The team plans to announce its two drivers by the end of October and is looking at “six local and international drivers” for the openings.
The new Lotus team is funded by a partnership between the Malaysian Government and a consortium of Malaysian entrepreneurs.
