This is the first entry about the automaker from Britain that called Jaguar. Usually, when it comes to the Europe’s supercars, many people had set their minds on Italy and Germany that is the 2 leading Europe’s country producing the performance car. So, let’s review whether this brand new car from the Britain can really enter the world of Europe’s supercars.

The Jaguar XKR using the 5.0L front longitudinal AJ-V8 Gen III R V8 engine powered up by the Twin Vortex Roots-Type Supercharger with Twin Intercoolers assisting by the DOHC, DIVCT valvetrain. Under the hood, the maximum power produced is 510 bhp @ 6000 RPM and maximum torque of 461 lbs.ft @ 2500 RPM. This power transferred to the rear wheel with the ZF 6HP28 6-Speed Automatic transmission with Paddle Shift.

Impressed with the engine’s output? Let’s look what this car can do on the road. The top speed of the Jaguar XKR is 155 mph (249 kph) and this new Jaguar can accelerate 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Quite good but didn’t enough to enter the world of European supercars.

The Jaguar XKR is built for the performance, so the suspension used also matching the car’s purpose. The double wishbone with coil springs and active dampers has been installed for the front and rear suspension for this Jaguar XKR.
