Nowadays, people always talk about cars, fuel and pollution. Everyday, the automotive engineer had develop the new method to reduce the pollutant caused by the exhaust gases from the car. Alternatively, we get the new car that not only reduce the pollutant but also reduce the fuel consumption. Hybrid-electric and natural gas vehicle are some of the fuel-alternative cars that can be purchased in the market now. So, let’s take a look at the top 10 cars that included in the top 10 green cars.

The All-New 2009 Honda City

Honda had taken a big step in producing the passenger car by launching the all-new Honda City. The new Honda City look scarier than the first and second generation.

Under the hood, the all-new City has the 1.5 L i-VTEC engine assisting with SOHC 16 valves. This engine will boost 88 kW (120 PS) @ 6000 RPM and torque 145 N.m @ 4800 RPM. Also, the new i-VTEC technology had improved and balanced both fuel efficiency and power output without compromising one or the other.

Then, let’s look at the interior. The extended wheelbase had boosted the interior spaciousness and comfort. The spring and cushion padding were tuned so that the passenger’s lower back sinks into the seat cushion and is held in place. The rear seat also had been designed to be adjustable. Just look below.

Honda Civic Hybrid

The development of the car that can use energy other than gasoline is important nowadays. With the increasing of the world’s price fuel, the hybrid car also be a choice for the people. Honda also launced their own hybrid car in 2007 with the Honda Civic Hybrid.
Honda Civic Hybrid use the 1.4 L, 4 cylinders SOHC i-VTEC and IMA. This engine brings 95 hp @ 6000 rpm and torque 90 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm. It makes the top speed of the car reach 115 mph and can accelerate 0-60 mph in 11.8 seconds. It is quite good for a hybrid car. The engine transmits power using a system called CVT (Continously Variable Transmission) and front wheel drive.
