One of the most sophisticated compact car nowadays had been introduced by Fiat and it is called  the Fiat 500. If you have a small family or you just wanna buy an economical car but with quite good performance, this is your solution. So, let’s look at why this is the must buy car for most of us especially the single career women.

The Fiat 500 comes with many versions but I want to review the one with the most powerful engine and it is called the Fiat 500 1.4 Sport 3dr. Like the name, it comes with the 1.4L inline 4-cylinders engine assisted by the DOHC, 4-valves per cylinder valvetrain. The engine get the fuel by the multi-point fuel injection system. The maximum power that comes under the hood is 100 bhp @ 6000 RPM while it is producing maximum torque of 96 lbs.ft @ 4250 RPM. The power transferred by the 6-speed Dualogic transmission and front wheel drive layout.

Let’s look at why this car also can give the quite good performance on track with this power and torque. The maximum speed of this car is 113 mph (182 kph) while it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 10.5 seconds. For this size of engine, do you think the performance is good? The maximum speed is good but maybe the acceleration of this car can be improved by further development.

A car can’t be called a passenger car until the comfort of the car can really satisfied the passenger. So, the independent strut with anti roll bar and coil spring has been used for the front suspension while the semi-independent torsion beam with coil spring has been used for the rear suspension.
