2010 Alfa Romeo 159 Sedan

The Alfa Romeo 159, a 1.8-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a JTDm diesel, the 159 1.8 TBi is equipped with a 1.8-liter turbocharged direct injection gasoline unit producing 200HP while the 159 JTDm will get a new variant of Alfa’s four-pot diesel with 170HP.

The Italian automaker is set to introduce the 159 Sedan as its first new model on this side of the Atlantic. With its sights set dead on the BMW 3-Series, the car boasts a direct-injection 260 horsepower 3.2-liter V6 engine, dynamic styling and standard all-wheel drive.

After I reviewed back this blog, I see that there are so many automakers that I didn’t reviewed their car even once. So, this entry will bring you all with the new Alfa Romeo Brera called the Brera S. Maybe it is not really new but it is the newest in the Brera line-up. So, let’s the review begin.

The Alfa Romeo Brera S has a front, transverse 3.2L V6 engine with natural aspiration. This engine combine with the DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder with VVT to improve the performance under the hood. This engine boost maximum power of 256 bhp @ 6300 RPM and maximum torque of 237.5 lbs.ft @ 4500 RPM. The output under the hood was transferrd by the 6-speed manual transmission and the front wheel drive with Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) and Traction Control System (TCS).

On the track, the performance also cannot be underestimated. This Alfa Romeo Brera S can reach the top speed of 155 mph (249.4 kph) and can accelerate from static to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Wow, I think it is on the same par with many of the Japanese sports car, right?

The Alfa Romeo Brera S can be classed as the sports car, so the suspension system also fill the conditions to be a sports car. At the front, the double wishbone suspension has been used while at the rear, the mulyi-link suspension has been used. Both the suspension system have been equipped with Eibach dampers, Bilstein coil springs and anti-roll bar.
