September 7th, 2008 bdfabregasBugatti Veyron 16.4 had been rated as the second fastest production car in the world. If this car is second, which car comes first? The answer will be in the upcoming entries. Just wait for it.
Of all my research about the cars, I think Bugatti Veyron has the biggest engine of all the production cars in the world. Bugatti is actually produced by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobile SAS in 2005. Bugatti Veyron powered by 8.0 L quad-turbocharhed W16. If we compared it to one of the Japanese performance car, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, it has 4 times the size and the number of cylinders. Let’s see what this big engine can do. The W16 engine can produce up to 1001 hp with torque 927 lbs.ft. The transmission using to transfer all the power to the wheels is 7-speed direct shift gearbox sequential manual with four-wheel drive. Let’s check how this high power engine and 7-speed transmission influence the performance of the car on the road.
The top speed of Bugatti Veyron is estimated at 253 mph (407 km/h). If in the previous entries, I state that Bugatti Veyron can accelerate 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds, the latest development had state that this Bugatti Veyron can move even faster, in 2.46 seconds. It makes the Bugatti Veyron be the fastest car in terms of acceleration from 0-60 mph. Check how cool the shape of the Bugatti Veyron.
